Minnesota Vikings Baby ClothesFran Tarkenton is one of those NFL players that was a force on and off the field from the first day he stepped into a regular season game. His first game also happened to be the first game ever for the fans wearing Minnesota Vikings kids clothes and other cool old-school NFL merchandise. Fran didn't start the first game, but he was summoned off the bench and ended the day with a 250 yards passing, 4 passing touchdowns, 1 rushing touchdown and a victory for the upstart team. Fran wore a Minnesota Vikings jersey until 1967 when he was traded to the New York Giants. After a few years in New York he returned to the team that drafted him and once again put on the purple Minnesota Vikings helmet which had children and adults across the twin cities area jumping for joy. Fran truly made his mark on the city during this second stint as starting quarterback. Fran was with the team from 1972-1978 and led the team to the playoffs in each season and to three Super Bowls.
